As conversations surrounding racial equity intensified across Chicago and the country, ABC7 produced an Emmy-nominated Juneteenth town hall focused on community dialogue, social impact, and the nation’s path forward.
As executive producer, I led editorial development and end-to-end production for the broadcast and digital special, overseeing editorial planning, script writing, production coordination, and post-production execution. Responsibilities included preparing on-air talent and guests through background research and interview development, ensuring clear and focused discussions within live production constraints, and guiding the overall editorial direction of the program. The special received an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Achievement for News Specialty Report/Series — Societal Concerns.”
